Job responsibilities:
To be a part of production improvement work in a structured way and with short-term and long-term prioritization between different actions.
Responsible for the design, control and improvement of the process and quality in the production of the product.
Monitor KPI’s related to the comprehensive yield of products in the whole process and implement actions to improve KPI’s.
Responsible for the preparation and management of product production technical specifications, technical standards and process documents.
Responsible for implementing the company's plan for annual product technology optimization goals.
Perform new product process simulations and troubleshoot issues. Ensure operations and products comply with safety and standards.
Work on the localization of resources and development of our suppliers in cooperation with Procurement.
Implement action on how the company’s goal on the comprehensive yield can be met, as well as define what actions are needed to reduce the scrap.
To work for the overall equipment efficiency in the factory, and to increase a safety-based productivity.
To be a service to production and participate in Daily Steering and so forth.
Calculate costs and evaluate different solutions from a cost perspective.



Who You Are?
· Education level: At least BSc in engineering from university
· Required experience: A few years of professional experience as an engineer from work in the process industry, alternatively a bachelor’s degree engineer with several years of experience.
Competence:
· Service minded and a doer.
· Skilled in problem solving.
· Have knowledge of at least English in speech and writing.
· Good communication skills.

Job responsibilities
The IE Engineer is responsible for driving productivity, efficiency, and cost optimization across production processes. The role focuses on systematic analysis, standardization, and continuous improvement to ensure stable, efficient, and competitive manufacturing operations.
The IE Engineer’s main responsibilities include:
· To analyze and optimize production processes (e.g., slurry, coating, slitting, packaging) to improve OEE, yield, and labor productivity.
· To establish, maintain, and continuously improve standard work, work instructions, and time standards.
· To conduct time studies, capacity analysis, line balancing, and bottleneck identification.
· To calculate and maintain standard cycle times, labor standards, and staffing models.
· To support production in meeting output, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
· To lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, waste elimination, process flow optimization).
· To monitor and analyze KPI performance related to efficiency, productivity, scrap rate, and equipment utilization.
· To provide data-driven analysis for decision-making, including investment proposals and layout optimization.
· To support new product introduction (NPI) and process transfer by validating capacity and defining production standards.
· To identify risks in processes and implement preventive measures (e.g., poka-yoke, process control logic).
· To support digitalization initiatives, including MES optimization and data accuracy improvement.
· To prepare regular reports and presentations for operations review meetings.
The focus is always operational excellence and sustainable productivity improvement. Analysis must be transparent and structured so that management clearly understands performance gaps, improvement plans, and expected results.
Cost awareness is critical. The IE Engineer supports budget preparation through capacity planning, labor forecasting, and productivity improvement estimation.
Safety is a key priority at Senior. The IE Engineer must ensure that all proposed process changes comply with HSE requirements and contribute to safe and ergonomic working conditions.
Flexibility and cross-functional collaboration are essential. The IE Engineer works closely with Production, QA, Maintenance, Planning, and other departments to achieve company goals.

Job mandate
· To define and update standard cycle times and labor standards.
· To initiate and lead efficiency and cost-reduction projects.
· To propose process improvements, layout changes, and investment needs.
· To stop or escalate processes if major efficiency loss, data integrity issues, or systemic risks are identified (in coordination with Production Manager).
· To coordinate improvement activities within Operations.

Job competence requirements
· Education level: Post-secondary education in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related technical field.
· Required experience: Documented experience in industrial engineering, process optimization, or production improvement within a manufacturing environment. Experience from a larger organization or complex production setup is preferred.
Competence:
· Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capability (root cause analysis, 5M1E, data modeling).
· Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Experience in time study, capacity planning, OEE analysis, and cost modeling.
· Familiarity with MES systems and data-driven production environments.
· Good communication skills; ability to present data clearly to different stakeholders.
· Proficient in English (spoken and written); Swedish is an advantage.
· Experience in budget follow-up and performance reporting.
· Basic knowledge of HSE implementation and ergonomic assessment.

Inom VA-området hos oss på Eskilstuna Strängnäs Energi & Miljö förser vi invånarna i Eskilstuna och Strängnäs med det vatten som de behöver dagligen. Key Responsibilities
· Analyze technical risks and field data; report progress and deviations to management.

Qualifications
Required
· Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) in Engineering or a related technical field.
· Minimum 2 years of experience in project management related work experience
· Familiar with project management structure and process (project organization, time plan, budget, quality etc.)
· Have general understanding of Swedish construction system such as BBR (Boverkets byggregler), PBL (Plan och bygglagen), AMA (Allmän Material och arbetsbeskriving) etc.
· Technical Environment: Deep familiarity with wet-process technology and cleanroom construction/maintenance standards is a strong advantage.
· Problem-Solving: Proven ability to multitask, perform risk analysis, and solve critical technical problems within complex on-site project environments.
